Selection of Installation Location for Electromagnetic Flow Meter Xi'an Aoxin Intelligent Electromagnetic Flow Meter
Electromagnetic flow meters have become one of the most commonly used flow meters for measuring liquid media in industrial enterprises. As long as liquids have a certain conductivity, we can choose them as measuring tools. They are most commonly used for conductive liquids such as water, sewage, sulfuric acid, and ammonia water. Choosing the correct installation location and installation specifications for the proper use of electromagnetic flow meters has become a focus of attention.
Selection of installation location
In order to ensure the reliable and stable operation of the transmission path, the following requirements should be noted when selecting the installation location:
1. Places without vibration or strong electromagnetic fields (such as near large motors and frequency converters);
2. Install vertically as much as possible, and install horizontally at a lower position. Do not install at the top of the pipeline to ensure it is full and prevent air bubbles;
3. The requirement for straight pipe sections is to ensure that the first 10 and last 5 times the pipe diameter are guaranteed;
4. When installing with welding, be careful not to weld the instrument to prevent damage to the flowmeter;
5. The shell should be grounded as much as possible, the shielding wire should be grounded at one end, and the connection point should not be grounded together with strong electricity;
7. If for the sake of easy maintenance, the installation location needs to be carefully selected to meet the maintenance requirements. At the same time, a bypass tube can be installed to allow fluid to flow through it in case of a malfunction;
8. Avoid direct sunlight and high temperature areas as they can demagnetize;
9. Other requirements that should be considered are that signal wiring should not be combined with strong current lines.
Installation requirements
In order for you to measure correctly, the following requirements should be noted when selecting the position on the pipeline:
The sensor can be installed on both straight and horizontal or inclined pipelines, but it is required that the centerline of the two electrodes be in a horizontal state.
⑵ The medium should flow through the full pipe at the installation position to avoid gas adhesion to the electrode.
For liquid-solid two-phase fluids, * * * adopts vertical installation to ensure even wear of the sensor lining and extend its service life
When the medium is not fully filled in the pipeline at the installation position of the flowmeter, the method of raising the flow half rear pipeline can be adopted to fill the pipeline. It is strictly prohibited to install the flowmeter at the highest point and outlet of the pipeline. (See figure)
⑸ Modify the installation method of the pipeline: When the medium flow rate does not meet the requirements, a smaller diameter flowmeter should be used. At this time, a reducing cone tube or modified part of the pipeline should be used to make it the same diameter as the sensor. However, the front and rear straight pipe sections must at least meet the following requirements: the front straight pipe section must be ≥ 5DN, and the rear straight pipe section must be ≥ 2DN (DN is the pipe diameter)
